And not like I'll start any time soon.
But I'm guessing this is the age when people really start to find religion.
Or seriously consider it, anyway.
Because more than a few close friends have converted to Christianity, or some mainstream monotheistic tradition (and let it just go for the record, religion, of any sort, is more and more deserving only of contempt), my own perception of my relationship to belief and believers has changed drastically. I'm glad religion can help be a guiding light (hypocrisy on my part, much?) for those that need it.
But I can't settle, at all. Every facet of who you are as a person is constantly evolving, and constantly changing. If the God of the Bible actually exists, on whatever plane, in whatever dimension; this universe is not as glorious as once I thought. But everything is in paradox, and not all may be love and light. My perspective? Mainstream monotheistic tradition is a dead thing. Religion has nothing further to offer mankind, that does not entail some imprisonment of the soul, and lack of self reflection.
Feck.
